DINOSAURS is the theme for this year’s City of Greater Dandenong Children’s Festival.
The event is now in its fourth year and is expected to attract more than 15,000 visitors from Saturday 19 September to Sunday 4 October.
It’s aimed at kids aged up to 12 years, and will feature performances, events, activities, games, workshops and exhibitions.
There’ll be dinosaur-themed family movies on Dandenong’s Harmony Square big screen as part of daily deckchair movie sessions.
Heritage Hill in Dandenong will host reptile viewing and Jurassic plant discoveries and Dandenong Market will have dinosaur-themed arts and crafts.
The festival program is the biggest yet, with more than 100 scheduled activities.
The headline event is the Little Day Out – for BIG Imaginations, which will be held at Ross Reserve, Noble Park, from 11am to 4pm on Sunday 27 September.
It will feature interactive workshops and activities, dance clinics, storytelling and puppetry, food and market stalls and dinosaurs.
