GREATER Dandenong libraries will share a near-$1 million boost.
Dandenong MP Gabrielle Williams announced $927,267 in State Government funding at Dandenong Library during Book Week celebrations.
The funds can be used for staffing, community programs, book purchases and technology upgrades.
Ms Williams said libraries were at the heart of communities.
“Libraries help foster life-long learning, provide free access to information and are a place for people to meet and engage,” she said.
“Locally, I know how many residents rely on and love our library services.
“This funding will help ensure that services like these can continue and grow.”
Libraries say thanks a million
