Cash stolen in milk bar raid

A MAN has stolen about $1000 from a Dandenong milk bar after threatening the woman behind the counter.
The man was inside the Ross Street milk bar about 8.15pm on Monday 14 September when he got a drink from the fridge and placed it on the counter.
He then pulled up his shirt to reveal a knife and demanded money from the female employee at the cash register.
When the woman ran out the back to find her husband, the man took out the knife and tried to follow her but was unable to get through the door.
He then returned to the till and stole up to $1000 before fleeing.
The man was described as being aged between 20 and 25, of Middle Eastern appearance, and was wearing a grey hoodie and black tracksuit pants at the time.
