MORE than 100 golfers chipped in for equipment for babies at Dandenong Hospital on 10 November.
A record $7600 was raised at The Good Guys Dandenong’s ninth annual charity golf event which was held in inclement conditions at Cranbourne Golf Club.
The funds go towards an LED phototherapy blanket for infants with jaundice.
Being a blanket, the system allows an infant to bond with its parent and to be swaddled while receiving phototherapy.
Proprietor Allen Garb said clients and customers were keen to help with the good cause, buying up tickets in a giant raffle on the day.
“Good causes, especially for children, are particularly popular,” he said.
