Robbery drill that didn’t work

Police are searching for this man.

A MAN armed with a drill has stolen $3600 from a Springvale supermarket.
Greater Dandenong CIU Detective Sergeant Luke Kirton said a man of African appearance aged in his twenties with a slim build walked into the Springvale Road Safeway about 6.35pm on Tuesday 17 November.
He was wearing dark clothing, including a hoodie and a red balaclava across his face.
Det Sgt Kirton said the man threatened cashier staff with a large drill and a large drill bit, and slapped and punched them to the face while demanding they open the register.
He fled on foot when customers started yelling at him, and staff tried unsuccessfully to chase him.
Three women sustained minor injuries.
