Greater Dandenong youths put their own spin on things at National Youth Week celebrations.
City of Greater Dandenong hosted a soccer tournament and dance competition to engage young people who live, study or work in the municipality on Friday 7 April.
Greater Dandenong Mayor Jim Memeti said the YOUTH UP breakdancing competition and Street Style Your Style soccer tournament were a chance for young people to get together in a safe, positive and supportive environment.
He said the day celebrated the contribution young people made to Greater Dandenong.
The breakdancing competition ran in Harmony Square, Dandenong, and also featured DJ Tofu mixing on the decks.
Dandenong’s Pop Up Park hosted the soccer tournament, which included men’s, women’s and general youth categories.
It was presented in partnership with the Melbourne Victory Football Club and supported by the Entrepreneurship Movement Club.
