A woman and a man have been taken to hospital after a crash between a truck and a car in Springvale.
Paramedics were called to the corner of Princes Highway and Smiths Road just after noon.
A man in his 70s or 80s was trapped in the car with injuries to his arms and head.
He was freed and transported by road ambulance to The Alfred hospital in a serious condition.
A woman in her 40s was also trapped in one of the vehicles.
She was taken to Dandenong Hospital in a stable condition, with leg injuries.
