60 years – a world unites

Springvale Senior Citizens’ Multicultural Club has cut the cake to 60 years of success at a celebration on 14 August.

Since it opened in 1958, it has flourished with 92 full members, 98 social members and 35 line dancers from a wide array of backgrounds.

Even when members move out of Greater Dandenong, they keep coming back to the club.

Led by a hard-working volunteer committee and president Mary Borg, the club provides a place for companionship, special lunches and day trips.

They hold regular activities such as carpet bowls, dominos, bingo, billiards, cards, board games, line dancing, chats, guest speakers and live musicians.

It meets at The Crescent, Springvale on Tuesdays, 9am-3.15pm.
