Woman injured in Dandenong home invasion

A woman has been hospitalised after being assaulted and threatened with a knife by three intruders in her Dandenong home.

The victim in her 30s woke to find the burglars inside her Birdwood Avenue home just before 2am on 16 October.

The intruders assaulted and threatened her then demanded cash and jewellery.

They fled on foot in an unknown direction.

One of the offenders was described as African appearance, about 182 centimetres and wearing a blue-grey hoodie and dark jeans.

Another was perceived as Maori appearance and a large build, the other was described as Caucasian appearance.

The victim was taken to hospital with non-life threatening injuries.
