Rendezvous thwarted by robbery

A man on the way to meeting an unknown female at a home in Noble Park late at night has been attacked by a knife-wielding robber.

While walking to his rendezvous in Wallarano Drive, the 21-year-old was confronted by the armed male in the nearby Noble Park Reserve about 3am on Sunday 10 March.

The victim refused to hand over his phone, wallet and keys to the assailant.

He instead took hold of the knife and tried to disarm the offender.

As a result, the victim received cuts to his hands including two lacerations about 5 millimetres deep.

He then fled from the robber, and was later treated at Dandenong Hospital.

Any information to Greater Dandenong CIU on 9767 7487 or Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000 or crimestoppersvic.com.au.
