Vandals go on arson spree

Police are investigating a one-hour spree of bin fires and criminal damage in central Dandenong.

A security patrol rang the alarm on a smashed front window of Uniting Connections on 51 Princes Highway about 2.20am on Tuesday 30 July.

A brick from a nearby garden bed appeared to have been launched through the window, Greater Dandenong CIU detectives say.

The same offenders are believed to have lit three wheelie-bin fires at 52 Robinson Street, 55 Pickett Street and the corner of Thomas Street and Wagstaff Lane.

CFA firies extinguished the blazes.

Any information to Greater Dandenong CIU on 9767 7487 or Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000 or crimestoppersvic.com.au
