A plaque marking decades of Ukrainian settlement is set to be unveiled in Burden Park, Springvale.

The celebration on 19 October brings together the Association of Ukrainians in Victoria’s south-east branch, the Ukrainian Community School and the Ukrainian Women’s Association, which are all in Noble Park.

They will mark 70 years of Ukrainian settlement in Australia, 65 years for the community school and 50 years for the Ukrainian community centre Narodnyi Dim.

The event includes a plaque ceremony, lunch at the community centre, a historical exhibition and a concert and film.
