Driver dies, girl injured on Monash Freeway

A male driver has been killed after his vehicle crashed on the Monash Freeway in Endeavour Hills on Saturday 15 February.

Police say the driver lost control of the outbound car just before the Heatherton Road off-ramp about 1.20pm.

The vehicle left the freeway, crashed into a tree and burst into flames.

The driver died at the scene.

A young girl, who was a passenger, was taken to hospital with serious injuries.

Police are investigating the circumstances of the crash.
