City of Greater Dandenong council meetings are set to resume in front of a public gallery.

Mayor Jim Memeti announced that spectators are expected to be allowed to attend meetings at City of Greater Dandenong’s civic centre from 15 March.

To attend, they must prove they are either double-vaccinated or exempt from Covid vaccination.

Numbers will be limited by Covid density limits, Cr Memeti said.

The 28 February meeting, like many during the Covid pandemic, was viewable online only or on the Harmony Square ‘big screen’.

Councillors and council officers attended the meeting remotely, with the public gallery closed.

Cr Memeti said the meetings would continue to be screened at Harmony Square.
