“I visited a friend in Noble Park and then I went to the station
and the next train was going to Cranbourne, so I thought, I’ll go to Cranbourne.

”I like to go for a joyride on the trains but this wasn’t what I had in
mind.“

”It is hard to believe this has all happened because things like this
don’t happen too often. All I know is that I could see this truck.“

”I was a
bit worried when the collision first happened. The carriage was all over the
place and jumping up and down. I grabbed on to a hand rail for a couple of
minutes until it slowed down and stopped.”

Mr Graham said he and a few other
passengers went through to the carriage behind theirs, where the doors were open
and they were able to get off the train.

”A man behind us had a graze on his
leg and a woman had a few cuts but they weren’t too badly hurt.

”A few people
went off in an ambulance. They wanted to check them out. They asked me but I
wasn’t hurt at all, just a bit of trauma I suppose.

“A bus drove three of us
back to Dandenong. I was concerned there was going to be
fatalities.’’
