HALLAM woman Kristy Robb bashed her Noble Park landlord to death in his own home, a Supreme Court jury has found.
The 28-year-old was on Friday 25 September convicted of the manslaughter of Alan Matthews, 69, on 30 January last year and will return to court for a plea hearing at a later date.
The court heard that Robb lived in a bungalow on Mr Matthews’ Henry Street property for about a week earlier that month but hadn’t paid rent, so the landlord held onto some of her belongings when she moved out.
Robb broke into the bungalow with boyfriend Gino Rachele, 42, to retrieve the items but Mr Matthews discovered and confronted them.
The court heard that Mr Matthews called triple-zero after the intruders fled, said he’d been assaulted, provided Robb’s name and number and described Rachele.
Police found Mr Matthews dead in his bathroom a short time later.
Rachele was on Thursday 3 September sentenced to a one-year community corrections order after pleading guilty to one charge of recklessly causing injury and false imprisonment.
