A burglar is believed to have broken into two nearby houses in Noble Park on the same night.
A 20-year-old woman was in her Leonard Avenue home alone when the offender broke in through a window and stole a bag about 7.30pm on Friday 31 May.
The victim was in her upstairs bedroom when the intruder knocked on her door. She called out and the intruder fled the property.
Soon after, the same person is believed to have stolen a large amount of jewellery from a 23-year-old woman’s unattended house on Bloomfield Road.
He was captured on CCTV footage parking a vehicle outside a block of units on Leonard Avenue.
At the time, a lot of people were attending a nearby place of worship, police say.
