Parents return to ‘fun’ school

It was all smiles at Dandenong South Primary School’s recent ‘Celebration of Learning’ open afternoon.

Aimed at fostering relationships between the school and community, parents were invited to get a glimpse of their children’s school life.

The day gave parents an opportunity to see some of their children’s artwork. Children had the opportunity to tell parents about their day-to-day work.

Parents interacted with the teachers to see how the school was supporting the children’s learning, with insight on how parents could help at home.

An Indonesian art display, student performances, a friendly soccer game and afternoon tea were also part of the afternoon.

“It was a successful event with outstanding attendance, we thank the parents and students who attended Celebration of Learning and were able to see our amazing school and celebrate the diversity,” Dandenong South Primary School teacher Shams Osmani said.
