LINK Employment and Training launched its newest division at the Chifley Doveton last week.
The Dandenong business launched the division and celebrated its 25th year with a breakfast on Wednesday 13 April.
Link Employment and Training general manager Terry Breheny said it had diversified into labour hire and recruitment in an effort to reduce the skills shortage.
“We see ourselves as being a major player in helping resolved the issue,” Mr Breheny said.
Link Labour Hire and Recruitment manager Rob Rowland said the new division would offer a casual workforce with flexibility.
“In launching into the labour hire and recruitment area we believe we have a solid base,” Mr Rowland said.
The business will initially focus on labour hire beforestepping further into recruit-ment.
A presentation was made by long-standing customer Laser 3D customer service manager Terry Leonard on the value the partnership had provided to their business.
In honour of its 25th year, Link also recognised long-term customers at the breakfast including Grenda, Toshiba and the Patterson Cheney Motor Group.
