Bulls ready for EFl season

By JARROD POTTER

THRASHING their cross-league rivals Narre Warren by 62-points still registers only a ‘good win’ for Noble Park coach Mick Fogarty – as his Bulls approach the start of the Eastern Football League Division 1 season.
Noble Park slammed home 16.8 (104) to Narre’s 5.12 (42) with starring performances from Luke Mann (four goals), George Angelopoulos and Stewart Kemperman to lead the way at Kalora Park on Saturday.
“Good win over Narre – we played some good footy in patches and quite pleased with our pre-season form and now we head into the real season,” Fogarty said.
Fogarty’s new brigade impressed with ruckman Vergim Faik, Benny Keane, Luke Smith and Brett Dore all pumping out great performances.
Not only preparing for this season, Fogarty has also been reducing the monstrous injury list from last year – getting match time into all his players and making sure the team can remain healthy for the season.
“Our side is still a work in progress and we’re coming from a fair way back after last year and realised we have a fair bit of work to do to compete with the top sides in the competition,” Fogarty said.
“If we keep a healthy list, I think our depth is just as good as two years ago and I don’t see why we can’t go deep into September – just about being healthy and maintaining fitness and form.”
Noble Park faces East Burwood at home on Saturday afternoon.
