Players reach for higher calling

A wide and varied collection of junior local cricketers are bringing their batting and bowling prowess to the next level.
Players from throughout the Dandenong District Cricket Association (DDCA) have been chosen for higher duties in the Southern Pioneers regional representative teams.
Dandenong Premier cricketers Mick Sweeney (under-18) and Cameron Forsyth (under-16) will coach the up-and-comers throughout the rest of the year, leading up to the January tournament.
Coaching alongside Sweeney is Prabath Nissanka (Casey-South Melbourne) while Forsyth will be aided by Dane Harkin (Casey-South Melbourne), Kierran Voelkl (Casey-South Melbourne) and assisted by Josh Slater (Dandenong).
The under-14 team will be coached by Rob Elston (Casey-South Melbourne), Mitch Rowe (Dandenong) and Kevin Tissera (Dandenong).
DDCA Under 12s will be announced soon with their VMCU Junior Carnival starting early in January.

Heinz Southern Districts – Ashely Chandrasinghe, Kevin Seth. Narre South – Connor Hinds. North Dandenong – Shishir Kulkarni, Yash Pednekar.

UNDER 16 SQUAD: Berwick – Jarryd Wills. Buckley Ridges – Nathan Munasinghe, Mann Patel. Cranbourne – Nivin Sathyajith, Joel Zietsman. Lynbrook – Daniel Van Hees. Narre North – Emran Heras, Tom Miller, Liam Richardson. Narre Warren – Damian Gamage. Noble Park – Dulnath Hendawitharana. Rowville – Triyan De Silva. Springvale South – Hrithik Katarey.

UNDER 18 SQUAD: Berwick – Lachlan Lawrance. Buckley Ridges – Jake Cronin. Clayton District – Saad Khattak. Lynbrook – Clayron Landers. Narre North – Stephen Brooks. Narre South – Kirk Dickson. Noble Park – Arun Mannarsamy, Sacheen Paramesh. Springvale South – Andrey Fernando, Mitch Lewis, Ryan Quirk, Brayden Sharp, Matthew Wetering.
