Stich up a cactus

Artist Emma Grace will teach children how to create beauty from recycled materials.
They’ll learn basic skills in design and sewing to stitch together a fabric cactus plant.

Christoff! Circo Folklorico

This upbeat show highlights the joys of a multicultural world, communication, tolerance and diversity.
The free event is designed for children aged 5 to 12 years.

Indigenous Infusion

Dreamtime story-telling by multi-award-winning Cultural Infusion gives an introduction to Indigenous history and culture.
Kids can develop a new understanding of the rich and ancient traditions of Australia’s first inhabitants at this free event for ages 5 to 12 years.

Mad Hatter’s Tea Party

Kids can bring their imagination and join Chilli Philly in creating a hat fit to wear to the Get Creative Cultural Threads Mad Hatter’s Tea Party.
Chilli Philly uses his textile skills to create fun and unique hats and teach children basic sewing and design skills.

Weaving with kids

Learn how to make a super shaggy woven wall hanging with Rachel from Wunder Weave.
Kids will learn to make and use a cardboard loom and experiment with strips of coloured fabric, thick and fuzzy yarn and sparkly string.

Marvels of magic

Elio Simonetti has been a professional conjuror since he was 15 years old.
His training in classical ballet is said to bring a graceful bravado to his strong theatrical approach.
He’ll reveal the secrets behind some of his trickery just for Drum Theatre audiences.

Witches, Giants, Peaches and Twists

Award-winning performers Sarah Kinsella and Russell Fletcher will bring Roald Dahl’s genius to life.
This free event is designed for kids aged 5 to 12 years.

The Wiggles come to town

To celebrate The Wiggles’ 25th birthday, Emma, Simon, Anthony and Lachy will perform in more than 100 locations around Australia on the Wiggle Town tour – including Dandenong.

Paper dyeing

Make dyed paper leaves, butterflies, flowers, creatures and more, put them on a window and let the sun shine through to create a rainbow artwork.
Wear old clothes or bring a smock. This activity is designed for kids aged 5 to 12 years.
