Greater Dandenong blazes erupt

Several unexplained blazes have been started in a 10-day fire blitz in Greater Dandenong this month.

On February 11 between 11pm and midnight, a wheelie bin in Sylvia Street, Dandenong North, caught fire after being put out for collection.

About 11.30am on February 22 in Gunther Avenue, Springvale, a shed full of old newspapers caught fire.

Between 8-9.45pm the next day a couch, which was put out for recycling in McFees Road, Dandenong North, also caught fire.

Police said the blazes were not related.
