A STAIRCASE became the unlikely target of thieves in Keysborough late last month.
Greater Dandenong CIU Detective Senior Constable Tony Lavars said the partially-assembled staircase was in the lounge room of a house under construction in Monrie Mews.
Thieves broke into the house between 10am on 22 November and 7am on 24 November and removed it.
Sen Const Lavars said one person could have conducted the raid but would have needed a small truck or large trailer to make off with the wooden staircase.
Call Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000 with any information.
