Drugged rider nabbed for speeding

AN UNLICENSED motorcyclist on drugs overtook a State Highway Patrol car at twice the speed limit, police allege.
Officers were conducting a routine patrol in an unmarked car on the Dandenong Bypass in Keysborough on Saturday 14 November.
They allege a 45-year-old Cranbourne man passed them at 155 kilometres an hour in an 80 zone.
Police intercepted the rider at the Perry Road intersection and found his number plates could be electronically flipped up, allegedly to avoid identification.
He tested positive to methamphetamine and was found to be unlicensed.
He is expected to be charged on summons with unlicensed driving, speeding, possessing an anti-speed measuring device and drug driving.
While police were at the scene, a Churchill man in his forties pulled up on his motorcycle to check on his friend.
He returned a positive drug test for methamphetamine and is expected to be charged on summons with drug driving.
