Stolen truck torched

By CASEY NEILL

Thieves stole and torched a truck in Dandenong South, and police are appealing for information.
Greater Dandenong CIU Detective Sergeant Luke Kirton said they took a white Isuzu tray truck from a secure warehouse in Kitchen Road between Friday 8 and Monday 11 July, leaving the keys behind.
CFA crews were called to Bayliss Road, near National Drive, about 5.25am on Monday 11 July and found the truck well alight.
They extinguished the fire and called police.
Det Sgt Kirton said the blaze completely destroyed the vehicle and it had been towed for forensic testing.
He said police were reviewing CCTV from the scene and surrounding area and appealed for anyone with information to call Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000.
