Those thinking about entering a trade or looking for an apprenticeship are invited to take part in the Youth Apprenticeship and Traineeship Forum.
The event has been organised by the Youth Leaders group and guest speakers have been booked to talk about their own apprenticeship and traineeship experiences and offer advice to budding job seekers.
The forum will also give tips on the state of the industry, what apprentices can do to stand out and how to apply for jobs.
The forum’s stalls will provide an opportunity to link up with organisations that are offering traineeships and apprenticeships.
The Young Leaders group is a council run program that helps develop leadership skills and promote community participation for 16-25 year olds.
Those interested in pursuing an apprenticeship or traineeship are encouraged to register by calling 9793 2155.
The event will be held on Wednesday 18 October at the City of Greater Dandenong Council Chamber from 9.30am to 12.30pm.
