‘Friend’ stabbed in Palm Plaza playfight

A 41-year-old man has been stabbed after a ‘play-fight’ turned serious outside a restaurant in Palm Plaza, Dandenong.

The victim and his 20-year-old ‘friend’, both from Dandenong, had clashed in the McCrae Street mall about 6.10pm on Saturday 23 March.

A witness tried to separate the combatants but not before the victim was wounded under his arm and thigh.

He was conveyed to The Alfred hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

The other man was charged and remanded in custody to face court at a later date.
