Bashed man fights for life in hospital

A MAN in his 20s was taken to hospital with life-threatening injuries after he was bashed in Dandenong last Friday afternoon.

The victim, from Frankston, had been ‘‘sparring’’ with another Sudanese man about 5.17 when the conflict ‘‘escalated in violence’’, Detective Sergeant Shane Pola of Dandenong crime investigation unit said.

He said the man was taken to The Alfred hospital in Prahran with ‘‘serious, life-threatening’’ injuries.
