DANDENONG Stadium will host both South East Australian Basketball League east conference grand finals.
Dandenong Rangers men’s and women’s teams both scored impressive wins in their respective major semi-final matches on Saturday night to earn the right to host the grand finals.
The Rangers women thrashed Geelong 73-45, holding the Supercats to single-figure scoring in the second and third terms.
Rangers star Steph Cumming led the way with 28 points and six assists while Catherine Guest had 10 points and seven rebounds in just 14 minutes.
The Rangers men overcame the loss of import forward Daequon Montreal to beat Geelong 109-94.
Montreal injured his ankle during the week but Rangers coach Darren Perry said Montreal should be fit for the grand final.
Rangers point guard Andrew Harms had 17 of his 24 points in the first half while Tony Lewis had 21 points and 12 rebounds.
Both Rangers teams will get this weekend off as the SEABL east conference preliminary finals are played with the winners to play the Rangers.
