Bread barrage in Dandenong

A milk bar owner threw bread loaves to deter a would-be armed robber in Dandenong North. The 51-year-old woman was behind the counter of her Heyington Crescent shop when she was confronted by a male wearing a hoodie and pointing a stick-like object towards her about 6.15am on March 1. She told the Journal that she simply threw the closest objects near her hands and screamed to her husband, prompting the intruder to flee.

Anyone with information about the incident can
call  Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000.
