HALLAM Senior College girls’ cricket side is on track for a fourth straight state title.

Hallam girls earned their place in the final four sides with wins over Mornington Secondary College and McKinnon Secondary College before Easter.

The state titles are played as Twenty20 matches. The Hallam girls will play in a semi-final and then, if they win, the grand final.

The two semi-final losers will play off for third and fourth positions.

The state finals will be played in early October.

Hallam coach Brett Alexander said his girls beat Mornington by nine runs and McKinnon by seven wickets in their zone round matches.

Captain Rachael Hunt led from the front with strong performances with bat and ball.

Brittany Read, Brittany Partington and Karly Tapner were also excellent.

Read and Partington took wickets and Tapner did well with the bat.
