FIRE crews have extinguished a shed blaze that ignited the lawns of Springvale Botanical Cemetery this morning.
Four CFA appliances were called to a backyard shed alight in Aintree Court, Noble Park North, about 10.13am, a CFA spokesman said.
The fire spread onto the backyard fence adjoining the cemetery and onto about two metres of the cemetery’s lawn.
Firefighters reportedly had the blaze under control within 15 minutes.
