FATHERS, grandfathers, male carers and guardians are invited to take part in a special Father’s Day photographic competition running from 4 June to 27 July.
Judges will regard photographic and technical quality as secondary considerations, with the emphasis on capturing special moments shared between father and child.
City of Greater Dandenong mayor Youhorn Chea said the competition was run by Mission Australia in conjunction with the council, the South Eastern Migrant Resource Centre and the Greater Dandenong Community Health Service.
“This is a fantastic opportunity for all dads out there to get the camera out and capture those positive moments between father and child,” he said.
A cash prize of $400 will be awarded to the winner of each of a variety of categories.
Entry forms are available from the Greater Dandenong Health Service, council service areas, South Eastern Migrant Resource Centre and local neighbourhood houses.
Winners to be announced Fathers Day, 2 September, during a ceremony at Dandenong’s at Palm Plaza.
