Man assaults boy in street

AN 11-year-old has broken his arm while trying to escape from a man who grabbed him in Noble Park.
Police said the boy was playing on his skateboard near Noble and Allan streets about 6.30pm on Tuesday 26 October when a man approached him and asked for money.
The boy said he didn’t have any and tried to ride away on his skateboard, but the man grabbed his arm.
The victim suffered a fracture to his arm as a result.
The suspect fled and was last seeing running south down Alfred Street. He’s described as about 20 years old, tall and thin with dark skin and short, black curly hair.
He was wearing an old light black leather jacket and blue denim jeans with one knee torn, and was carrying a small bottle believed to be alcohol.
An ambulance took the boy to hospital and he was discharged the following day.
Police are seeking witnesses to the incident or anyone who knows the man involved. Call Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000.
