Driver flees after hit-run

By CASEY NEILL

AN out-of-control car crushed a man against his own vehicle – in front of his eight-year-old son.
Detective Senior Constable Rick Mokos is appealing for witnesses to the hit-run incident, which occurred in Egan Road, Dandenong South, about 6.30pm on Wednesday 20 April.
He said a silver Holden sedan was seen travelling at high speeds before it lost control and slammed into the victim’s parked car just as he was entering it.
Det Sen Const Mokos said the man had put his son into the back seat moments earlier.
The boy was not injured but his father was taken to Dandenong Hospital with serious leg and hip injuries.
“It was fortunate that he wasn’t killed,” Det Sen Const Mokos said.
“The impact spun the offender’s car around.”
The Holden’s driver was seen fleeing the scene and was described as a Caucasian man aged in his forties with a medium build. He was wearing a black T-shirt and cream-coloured trousers.
Call Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000 with any information.
