PRIMARY school students from across Greater Dandenong took up the challenge issued by Premier Steve Bracks to read more books.
Coomoora Primary School in Keysborough had the highest participation rate in the Lyndhurst electorate, with 219 students taking part in the inaugural Premier’s Reading Challenge.
The challenge required students from years 3 to 9 to read 12 books in six months.
Lyndhurst MP Tim Holding visited Coomoora Primary School to congratulate the students on their efforts.
“It was a remarkable effort from Coomoora Primary, and a credit to the students and the school community for getting so keenly involved in the important activity.”
