Year-long ban for drink-driving

A driver will be without his licence for 12 months after police nabbed him drink-driving in Dandenong.

Transit Safety Division officers intercepted the 35-year-old on Langhorne Street just after 1.30am on Sunday 27 May.

Police allege he returned a positive preliminary breath test, so they took him back to the station where he allegedly returned a blood alcohol concentration of 0.184 per cent.

They suspended the driver’s licence for 12 months and served him with a notice to surrender his car for 30 days.

He is expected to be charged on summons with drink-driving offences at a later date.
