Made for King

LAUREN King is the latest WNBL championship player to find a new home at Dandenong Basketball Stadium.
The former Adelaide Lightning and Bendigo Spirit guard/forward agreed to terms with the Dandenong Rangers last week.
She will join former Lightning 2007/08 championship team-mates Jess Foley and Tracy Gahan at Stud Road, having averaged over 11 points and four rebounds per game with the Spirit last season.
Rangers basketball operations manager Leigh Gooding said the nine-year WNBL veteran is a perfect fit for Dandenong’s new-look roster.
“Lauren’s a proven WNBL performer who can light it up from range, and her ability to play multiple positions makes her tough to contain and gives us plenty of flexibility,” he said.
The 2010/11 WNBL fixture was released last week, with Dandenong scheduled to open the season against Adelaide on Friday 8 October.
They will then continue across the Nullarbor to face the rebranded West Coast Waves – formerly Perth Lynx – the following night.
The Rangers first home game will be against the AIS on Friday 22 October.
The ABC TV schedule is yet to be finalised, but it is understood that up to seven of the Rangers’ 22 games will be televised.
