A 35-year-old man has been struck from behind and robbed while walking in Hillside Street, Springvale.
The Springvale victim was talking on his mobile when he felt a blow to the back of his head between 10.30-11pm on Friday 7 February.
He fell to the ground, where he felt kicks to both sides of his ribcage and hands rifling through his pockets, police say.
The victim’s phone was stolen.
He suffered grazed elbows and knees as a result of the attack.
