A TEENAGER was lucky to escape serious injury when he was clipped by a train at Springvale Station at 9.30am on Tuesday.
The 18-year-old was crossing at a pedestrian crossing when the 8.15am Traralgon to Melbourne V/Line train clipped his leg.
He suffered lower legs injuries and was taken to The Alfred hospital in a stable condition.
There were about 200 people on board the train, which was delayed at Springvale Station while police and paramedics attended.
The train arrived at Southern Cross Station 60 minutes late and two other V/Line services were cancelled.
