DOVETON continues to tumble down the Football Federation Victoria State League Three ladder after a pitiful 3-0 loss against Frankston Strikers at Waratah Reserve.
On the flip side, Endeavour United is flying the local flag on top of the table following a strong 3-1 win against Morwell at Reema Reserve on Saturday.
United is clearly the form side of the competition, with a positive goal difference of 21.
Doveton, undefeated just a few weeks ago, faces a mid-season dilemma and must go back to the drawing board before clashing with Springvale City on Saturday.
Endeavour United travels to R.J. Sillitoe Reserve to meet Sandringham, which has won five and lost five this season.
On Saturday, United found three avenues to the back of the net, with Muhammed Kirmaci, Mohammed Alsakran and Alexandre Santos Claudio all scoring for their side.
In other local matches, Springvale City was too strong for Berwick, winning 2-1.
But it was Berwick that lost the game after a blatant own goal blunder broke the 1-1 deadlock.
Franco Bove scored Springvale’s other goal, while Callan Fisher found the back of the net for Berwick.
On Saturday, Berwick travels to play Southern Suburbs.
