DESPITE making the lowest day-one total in the Dandenong and District Turf One grade last week, St. Mary’s and their star bowler Andrew Taylor have pulled off a stunning upset at Carroll Reserve.
With the improbable task of defending 122 and watching Mordialloc cruise to 3/78, Taylor (8/31) stepped up and whistled through the Mordialloc batting line-up claiming six of the final eight wickets for 38 runs to finish off the visitors for 104. St. Mary’s total of 122 is the lowest total successfully defended in Turf One this season.

Six wickets by classy all-rounder Leigh Booth was the destructive force behind Hallam-Kalora Park’s 98 run win over Coomoora at the Hallam Recreation Reserve. After taking his sixth wicket, Booth (6/30) had the visitors reeling at 8/44 and only a final stand by Troy Jeffs (29) pushed the total any higher.
Coomoora eventually fell for 90, a far cry from Hallam-Kalora Park’s day-one total of 188.

@BT Sub Sport News:Doveton def by Parkfield

In an evenly matched contest at Robinson Reserve, Doveton has pulled up seven runs short needed for a victory. In similar circumstances to the Parkfield innings, Doveton lost an early wicket but reached 50 runs without any more hiccups. After Shaun Tongue (53) was dismissed, Doveton were 6/114 and in an identical position to what Parkfield were in a week earlier.
