THRIVING businesses from 2008 and 2009 were recognised for their continuing success at the Sandhurst Club on Wednesday.
The Greater Dandenong Chamber ofCommerce 2010 Premier Regional BusinessAwards business breakfast highlighted the awardwinning businesses from 2008 and 2009 including The Pavilion, Hunter Cleaning Supplies Specialist, Advanced Polymer, CleanTeq, Fantech, Popina Foods, Total Auto Recyclers and JDN Monocrane.
Since winning their awards, all businesses continue to go from strength to strength.
Dani Zeni from The Pavilion said the staff continued to treat every customer “as best we can.”
Hunter Cleaning Supplies Specialist recently launched their new green cleaning chemicals.
Advanced Polymer is launching a new product made of recycled Sprite, Coke and water bottles. CleanTeq continues to have a strong focus on air, and Fantech continues to have a strong training program.
Popina had to renovate the business to accommodate its growth. Total Auto Recyclers leads the way in setting new trends in tune with environmental issues, and JDN Monocrane has continued to develop new concepts for its massive business.
Sharing the limelight with the successful businesses was Luke Cachia, who was inducted as a Youth Enterprise nominee. Luke is an apprentice electrical linesperson with Jemena and intends to further study at Jemena and complete his Live Line Glove and Barrier ticket, which means he will be trained to work on live 22,000 volt lines.
Businessmen and women at the breakfast also enjoyed a speech from guest speaker Daniel Grollo, the CEO of Grocon.
Grocon built many big name buildings including the MCG and Eureka Tower in Melbourne.
It is currently building the new Government Service Building in Dandenong.
Mr Grollo said there was a lot of potential for infrastructure opportunities in Dandenong.
“We are very optimistic about Dandenong,” he said.
“We are very excited about it.”
