IT WAS smooth sailing for Hilton Manufacturing’s fund-raising dinner earlier this month.
The company transformed the Dandenong Pavilion into the ‘Love Boat’ and raised $23,000 for Dandenong Primary School and Mercy Ships on Saturday 3 September.
Margo Hartley of Hilton Manufacturing said the 160 guests had a great night and the restaurant looked the part.
“What a cruise it was to leave land and step onto the gangway and into the restaurant decorated with creative nautical emblems, table decorations and colourful balloons,” she said.
“It gave an atmosphere of friendliness, holiday anticipation, relaxation and most of all calm seas.”
Ms Hartley gave generous thanks to those who supported the occasion particularly Dani and Dina Zeini and staff of the Dandenong Pavilion who donated their time, talents and cuisine.
