Greater Dandenong Police have issued a warning following a “significant rise” in thefts from cars.
Greater Dandenong CIU Detective Senior Constable Tony Lavars said people should park their car in a driveway or garage whenever possible.
He urged people to remove their wallet, keys and other valuables from their vehicles.
Det Sen Const Lavars said people should cancel their credit cards as soon as they realise their wallet has been stolen.
