Stolen car involved in highway crash

UPDATE 5pm

A DRIVER of a stolen car remains at large after crashing into another vehicle on Princes Highway, Noble Park North on 22 October.

The driver fled on foot from a Subaru station wagon, which turned right from the highway’s inbound lanes and crashed into a Holden ute at the Eastlink on-ramp.

A Victoria Police spokeswoman said there was no police pursuit of the stolen vehicle.

A STOLEN car is believed to have been involved in a multi-vehicle crash on Princes Highway, Noble Park North on Thursday afternoon 22 October.

Sergeant Mick Hughes, of Springvale police, said the car’s driver had fled the scene and was still at large; its passenger was arrested.

A passenger in another vehicle involved in the crash about 2.50pm near Eastlink had been taken to Dandenong Hospital in a stable condition.

A PERSON has been hospitalised after a multi-vehicle crash on the Princes Highway, Thursday afternoon 22 October.
VicRoads issued a traffic alert that the highway’s outbound lanes were blocked at Eastlink while emergency crews were on the site.
Fire and ambulance crews were called to the crash, about 2.50pm.
The injured person was taken to Dandenong Hospital in an unknown condition.
