Armed robbery charges

POLICE have charged a Springvale man over an armed robbery in Frankston earlier this month.
A Dog Squad officer arrested the 21-year-old in an allegedly stolen car in Noble Park about 1.40am on Thursday 26 November.
Frankston Embona detectives charged him with armed robbery, assault, three counts of theft of motor car, possessing a drug of dependence and other related offences.
He faced court on Friday and has been remanded to appear at the Melbourne Magistrates’ Court on 30 November.
It’s alleged he was involved in stealing a BMW during an aggravated burglary in Doncaster between 3 and 4 November.
Police allege the car was then used during an armed robbery in which thieves stole a Ford XR6 in Bartlett Street about 2.40am on 6 November.
Three days later the car was involved in a collision in Mordialloc that killed a 47-year-old Carrum Downs woman, police said.
Police on Tuesday 24 November arrested a 17-year-old boy in Keysborough in relation to the armed robbery.
He was remanded to appear in a children’s court at a later date.
They had previously charged an 18-year-old man in relation to the armed robbery and a 15-year-old boy over the fatal collision.
