Four netted in raid: guns, stolen goods seized

One man has been jailed and three others are awaiting their fate following a Dandenong North raid that uncovered guns and stolen goods.
Police executed a Drugs, Poisons and Controlled Substances Act search warrant at the Stud Road home on Thursday 14 July.
Greater Dandenong CIU Detective Senior Constable Marisa Owens said the $10,000 worth of property recovered included a motor vehicle, a shotgun and two hand guns, large calibre ammunition, prohibited weapons, cash and stolen property including gas log heaters.
A 34-year-old Dandenong North man appeared in Dandenong Magistrates’ Court on Friday 15 July.
He was jailed for four months and will subsequently serve a 12-month Community Corrections Order for firearms offences, handling stolen goods and possessing proceeds of crime.
Police interviewed a 42-year-old Dandenong North man for firearms offences, motor vehicle theft and handling stolen goods.
He was released on bail to appear at Moorabbin Magistrates’ Court on 9 September.
Police arrested a 34-year-old Diamond Creek man and released him pending summons for possessing a drug of dependence.
They also released a 31-year-old Clayton South man pending summons over motor vehicle theft and handling stolen goods.
