Treadmill challenge to prevent suicide

By Casey Neill

A Springvale gym is encouraging people to sweat it out for a good cause.
The Anytime Fitness Springvale is hosting a 24-hour treadmill challenge from 6pm on Friday 28 July.
The event will raise cash for Suicide Prevention Australia.
Club manager Karen Lilley called on businesses, schools and sporting clubs to register to take part or donation money, goods to raffle, or services for the day.
She’s looking to run a barbecue sausage sizzle and perhaps get in a massage therapist to donate some time to rub down tired legs.
“Overall, we want to create a fun-filled 24 hours,” Ms Lilley said.
Participants will pay $15 to book a 15-minute treadmill slot.
Visit www.anytimefitness.com.au/treadmillrun or anytimefitnessppp4spa2017.everydayhero.do to sign up or donate.
